Add plenty of ice to each glass of water you take if you are trying to lose weight. Your body will burn more energy to warm up the water to your body temperature. Drinking several glasses of ice water will help your body to speed up its metabolism rate.

Eat Breakfast

It is significant to know that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Your body needs its fuel to go after going for more than eight hours without food. You will be more alert and have energy by taking your breakfast. It is also important for children to eat breakfast as they will concentrate and stay alert in school.

Don’t Skip Lunch

It is advisable not to skip meals especially the lunch time meal. Blood sugar levels drop if you skip a meal which slows down your metabolism rate as it tries to compensate for the missing fuel it needs. Later in the day due to starving, you will eat anything and everything you get. It is not okay for people who want to lose weight as they will take back and add more calories than what they have lost.

It is a good idea for us to snack from time to time in addition to the three larger meals we eat daily. Choose healthy snacks like vegetables and fruits, some applesauce with cottage sauce, and low-fat yogurt.
